  • The Rocking BAR Ranch was founded by Russ Blind in 1996. We are located in Bakersfield, California, in the picturesque Choctaw Valley area, not far from the Kern River. Many years before, Russ visualized a small working ranch, cultivating cattle purely grain and hay fed, humanely raised, and marketed to the most particular of clients. Trixie - Born 12/1/08, sired by Waylon, dam is Carrie.
  Wagyu typically have small calves, which is a much safer birth resulting in extremely low birth mortality for this breed of cattle. Trixie is ready for the right buyer to breed for purebred or half-Wagyu offspring. Dottie, our purebred Wagyu baby girl, is also going to be offered up for adoption for future breeding to the right buyer when she is ready.

 

 

TRIXIE IS NOW FOR SALE FOR BREEDING! COMPLETELY NATURALLY PASTURE GRASS FED FROM OUR OWN PASTURES, AND FROM LOCALLY GROWN ALFALFA AND HAY. NO HORMONES OR ANTIBIOTICS ARE EVER USED ON ANY OF OUR ANIMALS.

Dottie-our newest purebred Wagyu baby girl! Born 11/2009 to Crystal, her first calf. She is an excellent mother and the calf is dainty, and very healthy and playful. Still nursing and munching on our high quality hay and alfalfa delivered by Alex and his assistants from Shafter's Hay & Cube Co. in Buttonwillow, CA.
